Hey there!

I'm Gem and I first fell in love with minimalistic, timeless home decor pieces when I purchased my first home.

However, like many of you who are eager to add their own touch to their home, I struggled to find quality decor pieces that weren't either overpriced or cheaply made.  I began to feel like I had been given empty promises, overpriced goods, and disappointing quality.

I had recently spent 5 years travelling the world and was amazed at how many talented artisans I crossed paths with and how unique their craft was. 

After settling back home I decided to start Alfie & Gem and brought on my first business partner - Alfie. It's not much of 50/50 relationship as he is often found snoozing under my desk or chasing bees outside, but he's pretty cute!

My intention for Alfie & Gem is to widen your choice and expand your options for quality home decor products.

Many times I've been told that a piece from our shop has become a talking point in someones home and this means everything to me! I genuinely care about how our products make you feel and I seek to exceed your expectations when delivering them.
